Abstract
I have been invited to speak, at the close of this seminar on weanling diarrhoea, about what we can do. This is, to say the least, a most ambitious task to which no easy answers exist. I shall start by attempting to define the problem in a functional way in order to derive the principles that should guide our programs. Then, I will explore some examples that illustrate these principles concluding with suggestions on how we can implement this type of comprehensive approach.
